Owners are allowed to start whoever they want during any week. Essentially, every week each player is a free agent that you can choose to have in your starting lineup. This eliminates the need for a draft and frees you from the worries of injuries, bye weeks, busts, or scoring the second most points in your league only to lose to the guy who scored the most points. How about going undefeated only to lose in the playoffs after a coach benches his players, or starting out 1-4 and knowing you're a longshot to make the playoffs. Cumulative point standings and weekly prizes keeps everyone playing every week. You also don't have to worry about having the last pick in your draft because if you want to start LT during any week, you can. During the 2006 season, 66% of the teams in draft based leagues that had LT won their league championship. Since LT was a consensus top 3 pick that year, if you didn't have one of those picks in your draft, then odds were already against you winning. Starting whoever you want may sound easy, but you actually need to be a more knowledgeable fantasy player. Would you rather start Manning against a top 5 pass defense or Romo against a bottom 5 pass defense? Our game brings about new choices and new decisions that will test your expertise. All those things that make you mad about fantasy football? We fixed them. Now you can start your favorite players and continue to stay interested until the final whistle at the end of week 17 or even the playoffs.
Every week each owner will choose a starting lineup. Starting lineups will consist of 1 Quarterback, 2 Running Backs, 3 Wide Receivers, 1 Tight End, 1 Defense/Special Team, and 1 Kicker. Lineups must be submitted by 10a.m. Central Time on the morning of the weeks earliest game. For example, during the week of thanksgiving the earliest game of the week is on Thanksgiving Day. Picks for Thursday, Sunday and the Monday night game must be submitted by Thursday morning at 10a.m. Central Time. Failure to submit your weeks picks in time will result in zero points being earned for that week. Due to the short weeks, owners are allowed to set and continually change their lineups weeks and even months in advance. League standings will be updated at the end of every game. You are not playing against one league member every week, but instead are competing against every league member every week of the season. The team with the most points at the end of week 17 will be the winner and awarded the first place prize. The team with the second most points at the end of week 17 will be the second place winner and awarded the second place prize. The team with the third most points at the end of week 17 will be the third place winner and awarded the third place prize. Each week, the team with the highest score in their league will be awarded the weekly prize. During playoff fantasy football, there is not a weekly prize which is why the first, second, and third place prizes are larger. In the event of a tie, prizes will be divided between each of the tied teams. Winners are contacted at the end of the season to verify personal information and addresses before prizes are delivered.
